Marea autostradă care va uni România de Grecia prinde viteză: Construcția primilor 75 de kilometri începe cu un an mai devreme, finanțarea este asigurată

Bulgaria is accelerating the construction of a highway from the future Danube bridge near Ruse to the Greek border, with the first 75.5 km expected to be completed by the end of 2028. Funding of approximately 525 million euros has been secured for the initial sections, which are crucial for traffic flow between Romania and Bulgaria. However, the continuation of the highway from Biala to Veliko Tarnovo is currently stalled due to issues in the bidding process. The project aims to enhance connectivity and reduce accidents on one of Bulgaria's busiest routes, ultimately linking Ruse to Makaza at the Greek border.
