His first stop is Colombia, where he will meet President Abelardo De La Espriella, who seeks to reduce U.S. tariffs affecting Colombian exports. The U.S. plans to provide $1 billion in security assistance to Colombia, which is also part of a military alliance against drug trafficking. After Colombia, Rubio will visit Ecuador and Peru for further discussions.
