MApN anunță măsuri pentru menținerea în funcțiune a Unității 2 a CNE Cernavodă

The Romanian Ministry of Defense announced that the Naval Forces are conducting hydrographic research missions on the Danube to ensure the safe operation of the Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant. This is in response to the decreasing water levels in the Danube, which affect the plant's water supply. The goal is to gather technical data for creating a submerged dam to redirect part of the water flow to the Old Danube, maintaining adequate water levels for the plant's operation. The Maritime Hydrographic Directorate is involved in this effort, utilizing specialized equipment and experts to assess the riverbed and establish necessary technical parameters. The collected data will be shared with relevant authorities for urgent technical solutions.
