After the shopkeeper noticed a shortfall of 20 lei, the man executed a trick to return 100 lei while making it seem like the transaction was complete. The shopkeeper, unaware of the deception, exchanged the money, leading to the loss. Police are now working to identify the suspect using surveillance footage.
