Mamaia pierde nisip, Năvodari câștigă. Cum s-au schimbat plajele în 10 ani de la primele lucrări de înisipare

Ten years after the first beach widening works on the Romanian coast, engineers are assessing the changes in sand distribution. While Mamaia has experienced significant sand loss due to wave action, Năvodari has seen sand deposits increase. The project aimed to create a sand reserve, anticipating such shifts. Seasonal storms further alter the beach landscape, although the overall area remains stable. Environmental effects were prioritized over tourism in these initiatives, with ongoing coastal protection works expected to conclude by January 2027, followed by further evaluations.
