Maria Bordea, known as Mama Oara, celebrated her 84th birthday, marking 60 years of dedication to mountain tourism. She has been a significant figure in the Râșnov community and was honored as a Citizen of Honor. Starting her journey in 1966 at the Omu Peak cabin, she later managed the Caraiman and Babele cabins before settling at Diham. Despite challenges, including a devastating fire in 2002, her resilience led to the cabin's reconstruction through community support, earning it the name Diham-Phoenix. Mama Oara's story reflects her deep connection to the mountains and the people who cherish them.
