Malware auto: Kaspersky descoperă atacuri asupra sistemelor cu Android
A new Android malware targeting Head Unit systems in vehicles was discovered in June 2026, exploiting software update mechanisms. Kaspersky reported this as the first documented case of such an infection. The campaign involved a multi-stage downloader to install malware for ad fraud and other malicious activities, attributed to the MoYu group linked to the BadBox botnet. The malware was distributed through firmware updates of Android-based Head Units from DoFun, which have permanent internet access, creating potential attack vectors. Kaspersky notified DoFun, which has since addressed the issue.
