She acknowledged the efforts of past generations in maintaining the language despite challenges. Sandu noted that today, the language can be spoken freely, which comes with the responsibility to protect and pass it on to future generations. She called for a commitment to instill love for the Romanian language in children, celebrating its cultural significance. Romanian Language Day is observed annually on August 31 in Romania and Moldova, and this year it is officially recognized in Ukraine as well.
