Moldovan President Maia Sandu praised Romania during the RePatriot Gala, highlighting strong economic ties and mutual benefits. She noted that one-third of Moldova's exports go to Romania, while Romanian goods worth $2.5 billion were sold in Moldova in 2025. Sandu emphasized the presence of 1,774 Romanian companies in Moldova and 7,000 Moldovan firms in Romania, each generating over €1 billion. She expressed optimism about future connections as Moldova moves towards EU membership, mentioning infrastructure developments and the importance of collaboration with entrepreneurs. Romanian President Nicușor Dan also spoke, stressing the need for public-private partnerships. The RePatriot Summit, held from October 1-4, gathers entrepreneurs and professionals from around the world.
