Maia Sandu despre Unire: Republica Moldova ar fi în mai mare siguranţă împreună cu România

Moldovan President Maia Sandu stated that the country would be safer united with Romania, emphasizing the need for majority support from citizens for such a decision. During the Moldova Security Forum, she highlighted historical, identity, economic, and security reasons behind the union discussions, especially amid rising regional threats. However, she noted that current polls do not show a majority in favor of unification, while there is significant support for EU integration, which she believes would enhance Moldova's security. Sandu reiterated that the decision for unification ultimately lies with the citizens and must reflect their will.
