Austria, Denmark, Germany, Greece, and the Netherlands are exploring the creation of return centers in non-EU countries and have begun talks with potential partner states. The meeting in Copenhagen, hosted by Danish Minister Morten Bodskov, aims to outline concrete steps towards agreements with these countries. Migrants who cannot be returned to their home countries would be held in these centers. Germany has been advocating for this project, with plans to finalize agreements this year. However, the initiative raises concerns about human rights violations, particularly from organizations like Amnesty International, which warns against agreements with politically unstable nations.
