Mai multe arii naturale din Bihor, incluse în noul Catalog al zonelor prioritare pentru biodiversitate

The Ministry of Environment has initiated a public debate on a draft order to approve the National Catalog of Priority Biodiversity Areas, which includes several natural areas in Bihor County. The catalog aims to enhance nature protection rules in these regions, which already have high protection levels. Active management will be allowed in many areas, enabling traditional activities to continue, with landowners receiving financial compensation. The project includes 472 priority areas nationwide, covering about 2.54% of Romania's land, and is part of a commitment to biodiversity protection under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.
