Magneziu românesc pentru industriile viitorului / Investiția de 400 de milioane de euro pregătită în Mărginimea Sibiului

A new industrial project in Rășinari, Sibiu aims to utilize local magnesite resources to establish domestic magnesium production, reducing reliance on imports. With an investment of around 400 million euros, the initiative is led by MPI Magnesium, a fully Romanian-owned company. The project focuses on sustainable practices, including limited land use and environmental monitoring. It also includes a voluntary financial commitment of over 18.5 million euros for local development, supporting infrastructure, health, and education. The project seeks to enhance local economic capabilities and integrate into European industrial supply chains, potentially transforming Romania's resource management into a strategic industrial activity.
