A massive solar park is set to be built near the Hungarian border in Arad, Romania, covering 1,000 hectares. This project, with a capacity of 1,044 megawatts, will exceed the current largest solar park in the EU. The investment is estimated at 520 million euros, funded by a consortium. The park aims to produce around 1,800 gigawatt-hours of electricity annually, contributing significantly to Romania's solar energy output by 2025. Completion is expected by September 2028, with commercial production starting in 2030.
