The Ministry of Environment's Control Body report on the Olt Water Administration and the Olt Water Management System has been sent to the General Prosecutor's Office. Between 2021 and 2024, 29 inspections were conducted without any fines imposed. Minister Diana Buzoianu highlighted illegal mineral aggregate exploitation in the Balș – Piatra-Olt area, with over 6.67 million cubic meters extracted unlawfully. The report indicates a pattern of administrative failures, including unpunished violations and incomplete documentation. The findings will lead to potential criminal investigations and administrative actions against responsible officials.
