MAE condamnă alegerile organizate de Rusia în teritoriile ocupate din Ucraina și în Transnistria: „Nu pot produce efecte juridice”
Romania condemns Russia's elections in occupied Ukrainian territories and voting in Transnistria without Moldova's consent. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs states these actions violate international law and aim to legitimize illegal territorial control. The elections for the State Duma, taking place from September 18 to 20, are the first since the Ukraine invasion began in February 2022. Romania reaffirms its support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and Moldova, rejecting any attempts by Russia to alter the status of these regions. The elections are also seen as a means for Russia to showcase public support for its political direction and the ongoing war in Ukraine.
