MADR propune acordarea de plăți compensatorii fermierilor care au înregistrat pierderi în urma măsurilor de conservare şi restaurare a biodiversităţii - Economica.net
The Ministry of Agriculture proposed compensatory payments for income losses due to biodiversity conservation measures during Senate discussions on the national biodiversity strategy. Minister Tanczos Barna emphasized the need for clear regulations that balance nature protection with farmers' rights. The ministry clarified that the 50% reduction target for fertilizers and pesticides aims to reduce pollution risk, not usage amounts. Additionally, the goal of restoring 30% of degraded ecosystems by 2030 is a global target, not a specific obligation for Romania. Compensatory schemes will be established for land use restrictions affecting agricultural and forestry income.
