Macron nu va participa la slujbele Papei Leon al XIV-lea din Franța. Va fi reprezentat de premierul Lecornu • Newsweek România

French President Emmanuel Macron will not attend the papal services of Pope Leo XIV in Paris, delegating Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu and his wife instead. The papal visit will last from Friday to Monday, amid efforts to downplay reported tensions between France and the Vatican regarding the visit's preparations. Macron had hoped for a meeting between the Pope and the workers who reconstructed Notre-Dame Cathedral, but scheduling conflicts prevented this. The Pope will deliver a speech in Metz on European unity, which Macron will introduce, with other EU leaders invited to attend. Macron and his wife will meet the Pope upon his arrival in Paris and later at the Élysée Palace for private discussions and speeches.
