Philosopher Adrian Papahagi criticized the proposed names for Cluj-Napoca's metro stations, calling them 'new Utecist' and reminiscent of Ceaușescu's era. He argued that the names lack tradition and historical significance, contrasting them with more meaningful names from the past. Papahagi expressed hope that future names would reflect the area's heritage. The metro, set to have 19 stations, is expected to be completed by 2031, with an estimated cost of 1.8 to 2 billion euros.
