Luvru riscă să-și închidă porțile dacă nu este renovat. Avertismentul conducerii celui mai cunoscut muzeu din Paris

Christophe Leribault, the Louvre's director, warned that the museum may have to close if major renovations are not undertaken. He highlighted issues like infrastructure degradation and overcrowding, emphasizing the need for significant interventions to continue welcoming visitors. This statement comes shortly before the anniversary of the theft of the French Crown Jewels, which raised security concerns. Leribault, appointed after the heist, has prioritized security improvements, with an €83 million plan underway that includes enhancing surveillance and access monitoring. He noted that necessary security measures require work on the historic building and its infrastructure. Last year, the Louvre attracted around nine million visitors.
