He emphasized that the intensity and frequency of their training ensure skills are retained even after breaks. Popescu recounted an incident involving a colleague who was robbed while on vacation in Rome. The colleague, a kickboxing instructor, woke up to find a thief rummaging through his bag. Despite being in his underwear, he chased the thief and managed to catch one, who had his belongings. The situation escalated with the arrival of local police, but communication issues arose due to the colleague's language barrier. Ultimately, the matter was resolved once the police understood his affiliation with the anti-terror unit.
