The film "I Matter," directed by Alina Şerban, won the Audience Award at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival. It tells the story of a young Roma woman preparing to leave a care center, hoping for her father's release from prison to provide her with stability. This film marks Şerban's directorial debut and makes her the first Roma female director to present a feature film at the festival. The film features a cast that includes both professional actors and young residents from care centers in Bucharest. It was selected for the Venice Spotlight section, highlighting innovative and creative films.
