Traffic chaos has erupted on Dimitrie Pompeiu Boulevard in northern Bucharest due to a newly implemented one-way system. Since October 17, vehicles can only travel from George Constantinescu Street towards Petricani, causing significant delays. Drivers entering the city from A3 have reported waiting times of up to an hour and a half at the Petricani intersection. This one-way restriction will remain in place until December 31, 2026, as part of water distribution infrastructure upgrades. The mayor of Sector 2 highlighted the need for a railway overpass to alleviate traffic issues in the area, with potential construction starting in 2029.
