Lukaşenko refuză cererea lui Trump. „Pur şi simplu nu dispunem de aceste volume”

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko stated that his country cannot meet U.S. President Donald Trump's request for potassium fertilizer due to existing contracts. Trump had expressed interest in purchasing Belarusian potash, which is cheaper than Canadian options, amid escalating trade tensions. Lukashenko noted that Belarus produces around 6 million tons of potash annually, just above U.S. imports of 5.6 million tons. He emphasized that current production is already contracted, limiting supply to the U.S. Furthermore, Lukashenko mentioned the need for the U.S. to unblock Belarusian state funds frozen since 2022 due to sanctions. Discussions about U.S. support for potash exports through Ukraine were also rejected by Kyiv.
