Lucrările secțiunii 4 a autostrăzii Sibiu-Pitești au ajuns la 99%

Cristian Pistol, the General Director of CNAIR, announced the completion of section 4 of the Sibiu-Pitești highway. The 9.86 km stretch is ready, pending safety tests for the Momaia tunnel. The tunnel, nearly finished at 1.35 km, will undergo monitoring system tests, with traffic expected to open this year ahead of the February 2027 deadline. Speed in the tunnel will be limited to 80 km/h for safety. The project, valued at 1.678 billion lei, is funded through the Transport Program 2021-2027.
