The bridge over the Prut River at Ungheni, linking Romania's A8 highway with Moldova's road infrastructure, is 56% complete. The project, costing around 151 million lei, is funded by EU sources and is set for completion by December 2027. Construction includes improving the foundation and preparing the ground for further work, with 33 machines and 50 workers currently on site. Meanwhile, work on the bridge's metal deck continues in Moldova.
