Lucrările hidrotehnice din zona Cernavodă, sistate, din cauza expirării contractului de dragaj. Când vor fi reluate și ce spun autoritățile
Despite the drop in the Danube's water level, dredging operations crucial for the Cernavodă nuclear power plant have ceased due to a contract expiration. The government has not issued necessary decisions to continue dredging, despite technical requests. As of late August, the Danube's flow was significantly below normal, impacting cooling water supply for the reactors. Although dredging began, operations have been reduced without completing all phases. The most effective dredging equipment is currently far from Cernavodă, and no government resolution has been made to secure funding for ongoing work. The constructed stone dam is deemed ineffective and requires further investment to be functional.
