Lucrările din Herăstrău, la circa 20%. Ciucu explică de ce au încetinit
The mayor of Bucharest, Ciprian Ciucu, announced a slowdown in the consolidation works of Herăstrău Lake's banks due to requested modifications to the technical project. The initial plan involved a two-meter concrete beam that would have led to the removal of nearby trees. Ciucu emphasized the need for a balance between hydrotechnical safety and landscape aesthetics, prompting a halt to unnecessary deforestation. A new solution aims to stabilize the banks while preserving vegetation, with a focus on planting flowers and shrubs. An inventory of 1,844 trees has been conducted, assessing their health and risks, with plans to protect healthy trees. The project is part of a broader initiative to regenerate Herăstrău Park, responding to public demand for more greenery.
