Lucrările de pe Pasajul Basarab avansează: Traficul va fi redeschis complet pe 7 septembrie

Repair works on Basarab Passage are ongoing, with plans to reopen traffic on September 7, as announced by Bucharest officials. Currently, 94 workers are on-site, with an additional night crew of 25. The construction team has shifted to the opposite side of the road, focusing on repairing heavy barriers and sidewalks, installing corner pieces, and removing expansion joints. The passage, operational since 2011-2012, had not undergone proper reception, leading to its deterioration. The mayor stated that the situation has been addressed after about 15 years, and efforts are underway to ensure the passage's safety and complete the reception process.
