Construction on Lot 2 of the Sibiu–Făgăraș Highway is progressing rapidly, with Makyol reporting over 50% completion. This project is crucial for connecting Transylvania with Muntenia and Moldova. Despite challenges, the team has shown determination and engineering excellence. As of late July, asphalt work began on Lot 3, with varying completion rates across the four sections. The entire highway, spanning 68 kilometers, is expected to be completed by 2028, with a total contract value of 6.4 billion lei. This infrastructure project is vital for the economic development of the regions involved.
