Lucian Romașcanu, despre raportul Curții de Conturi Europene: Rata de eroare a cheltuielilor UE a crescut în 2025

Lucian Romașcanu, a member of the European Court of Auditors, stated that issues in EU fund management indicate room for improvement rather than institutional failure. During a press conference, he highlighted the significant benefits EU funds have brought to Romania, with a net gain of 100-110 billion euros. The EU's total payments in 2025 reached 216.4 billion euros, with an increased error rate of 3.8%. Major issues were found in cohesion and resilience sectors, with a 6.6% error rate. Romașcanu emphasized the need for effective control systems and warned that future EU budget proposals may increase national control responsibilities. He stressed the importance of credible and measurable targets for funding.
