Prime Minister Luca Niculescu will not attend Parliament on Monday to discuss the budget deficit, as confirmed by government spokesperson Dan Cărbunaru. Instead, he will participate in a signing ceremony related to a project with Moldova's Ministry of Defense. The request for his presence in Parliament came from the AUR party, which sought explanations regarding the budget deficit. Although the Prime Minister is obliged to attend such discussions, he can request a rescheduling. AUR emphasized the need for concrete measures and clarity on the deficit situation, raising specific questions about future targets and fiscal strategies. Meanwhile, USR's request for the Finance Minister to attend was denied due to prioritization of the Prime Minister's session.
