Luca Niculescu, despre procesul aderării României la OCDE: „Tehnic vorbind, suntem gata”

Romania is nearing its accession to the OECD, according to designated Prime Minister Luca Niculescu. He stated that technical preparations are nearly complete and having a government would help finalize the last remaining detail. Niculescu emphasized that joining the OECD would enhance investment attraction and governance improvement. He described the organization as a club of developed democratic countries and the best governance school globally. The accession process involved over a hundred reforms and collaboration across political parties. Niculescu noted that Romania is the first among eight aspiring countries to reach this stage, although he did not specify the final detail to resolve or a timeline for accession. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs considers OECD membership a major national project, following NATO and EU integration.
