The two leaders discussed enhancing cooperation between Romania and Moldova, particularly in investments and community development. Tofan emphasized the importance of Romania as a reliable partner for Moldova's European aspirations. The meeting was arranged on the day of Niculescu's government inauguration, which ended a six-month political crisis in Romania. Niculescu aims to continue supporting Moldova's EU integration efforts.
