This decision follows a ruling by the High Court of Cassation and Justice, confirming AEP's demand for the return of funds misused during the campaign. PNL is also facing significant debts totaling around 150 million lei. In a related development, the government has decided to double fines imposed by the National Audiovisual Council (CNA), which will now reach nearly 440,000 lei due to inflation adjustments.
