Lovitură în ziua votului pentru Guvernul Mureșan: CCR pregătește o decizie care poate bloca contracte SAFE de miliarde de euro

On the day of the vote for the Mureșan Government, the Constitutional Court is set to rule on a challenge regarding Emergency Ordinance 38/2026, which could jeopardize billions in SAFE defense contracts. The challenge, initiated by Sorin Grindeanu, claims the Bolojan Government exceeded its constitutional authority. If deemed unconstitutional, while existing contracts may not be annulled, future mechanisms for state expropriation and strategic asset management would be eliminated, potentially delaying or canceling projects. The SAFE program allocates €16.7 billion for defense and infrastructure, with over €9 billion already contracted. The PSD has announced it will not support the Mureșan Government, raising suspicions of a strategic delay in the vote to coincide with the Court's decision.
