In Constanța, plans are underway to create a "Royal Route" linking three historic sites: the Royal Palace, Queen's Nest, and the Royal Villa in Mamaia. These locations, once frequented by Romanian royalty, are now in a state of disrepair. The Royal Villa, built in the 1920s, has not undergone necessary repairs since being declared a national heritage site. The Royal Palace, constructed between 1902 and 1906, has served various functions over the years but remains underutilized. The Queen's Nest, built for Queen Maria, is also in decline. Local authorities aim to restore these sites to enhance tourism, but bureaucratic hurdles hinder progress. Meanwhile, similar historical sites in neighboring Bulgaria attract many visitors, highlighting the need for action in Romania.
