Competing against four other European regions, it showcases its rich history and modern winemaking. Although the final award went to Ahrtal, Germany, Dealu Mare's nomination highlights Romania's tourism potential. The region is known for its red wines and offers wine tastings and guided tours, alongside historical sites. The selection process involved Travelbook's community and industry experts, with over 150,000 votes cast.
