Locuitorii din Covasna cer autorităţilor la nivel naţional să-i salveze de urşi. S-a creat şi o petiţie pentru urgentarea legii cotei de recoltă
Frequent bear attacks in Covasna County have prompted local authorities to urgently convene a meeting with community leaders. A petition was created by the AGROSIC Intercommunity Development Association, urging the Romanian President and government to address the excessive bear population. Farmers and residents near forests are calling for immediate measures to protect lives and property, citing a significant increase in bear numbers, now exceeding 13,000 nationally. They demand urgent legislation to increase intervention quotas, effective population control measures, and real protection for rural communities. The situation has led to injuries and fatalities among people, with bears invading homes and public spaces.
