Locomotive diesel pe linia proaspăt electrificată Cluj-Napoca – Oradea / Există riscul să se piardă banii din PNRR

The interim Minister of Transport, Radu Miruță, announced discussions with the European Commission to allow temporary diesel locomotive use on certain sections of the Cluj Napoca – Oradea line. The electrification and rehabilitation project must meet PNRR milestones by August 31 to secure EU funding. Delays could lead to partial fund loss, but authorities seek approval for completed intermediate stages. As of late July, progress on the project varied by section, with completion expected in 2028.
