Lockheed Martin lansează o nouă rachetă Patriot, mai ieftină: Costă mai puțin de jumătate față de interceptorul actual
Lockheed Martin unveiled a new interceptor, the PAC-3 Adapted Capability Effector (ACE), aimed at reducing costs for countering drones and low-cost missiles. This interceptor will be less than half the price of the PAC-3 MSE and compatible with older Patriot systems. The announcement comes as the U.S. seeks to lessen reliance on expensive interceptors amid rising drone threats. The PAC-3 ACE is designed to target aerial threats, including cruise and short-range ballistic missiles. The U.S. military has heavily relied on the Patriot system, which is integral to Ukraine's defense against Russia, as it faces a global shortage of ballistic interceptors.
