Lockheed Martin dezvoltă rachete Patriot mai ieftine pentru combaterea dronelor

Lockheed Martin is developing a new, cheaper missile for the Patriot system, aimed at quick deployment on the battlefield. This initiative responds to military needs for cost-effective solutions against drones and aerial threats. The PAC-3 Adapted Capability Effector (ACE) will cost less than half of the current PAC-3 MSE interceptors, which are priced around four million dollars. The announcement coincided with the Farnborough Airshow, highlighting the increased demand for Patriot systems following Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Lockheed Martin's move reflects the defense industry's adaptation to competition from smaller tech firms.
