Lockheed Martin has unveiled a new air-to-air missile, the AIM-260 JATM, designed to counter threats from China, alongside a production agreement with the U.S. Department of Defense. This missile, developed in secrecy, offers greater range and effectiveness than existing missiles, targeting advanced Chinese fighter jets. The AIM-260 will be integrated into stealth aircraft like the F-22 and F-35. Australia plans to purchase JATM missiles worth approximately $521 million, with further production capacity enhancements outlined in the agreement.
