The government cannot further reduce diesel excise taxes due to legal limits, and without the current 25% reduction, prices would exceed 11 lei. Analysts warn that rising fuel costs will soon impact retail prices, as increased diesel prices affect the entire supply chain. The price hikes are primarily attributed to geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, which have driven up oil prices.
