Liviu Dobre (Agricover): Avem o producţie totală bună. Vedem o producţie de grâu bună, a fost un an excelent pentru rapiţă - Economica.net
Romanian agriculture has shown good productivity this year, with favorable crop prospects compared to other European markets, according to Liviu Dobre, CEO of Agricover Holding. The first half of 2026 saw mixed developments, with agriculture avoiding decline. Estimated yields for wheat, barley, and rapeseed are above long-term averages, while corn and sunflower are more vulnerable to high temperatures but expected to exceed 2025 levels. Dobre noted a good wheat production and an excellent rapeseed year, with total production looking promising despite drought concerns. Price increases for oilseeds have been observed, while overall productivity remains strong despite significant cost pressures and inflation affecting farmers' decisions.
