Livada de zmeură de un milion de euro de la Șinteu este în pericol. Aproape o treime din producție trebuie aruncată
The raspberry farm in Șinteu, valued at one million euros, faces severe drought challenges, with irrigation systems operating insufficiently. The lake supplying water is nearly dry, leading to a drastic drop in fruit quality and quantity. Last year, the family harvested about 4.5 tons of raspberries, but this season's yield is expected to be under one ton. Farmers report that the extreme heat has damaged the fruit, resulting in a significant portion being classified as second quality. They are considering drilling for water and installing shading nets, but there are no guarantees of success. The raspberry and hazelnut crops span approximately six hectares.
