Lituania nu recunoaște alegerile pentru Duma de Stat a Rusiei

Lithuania's Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys announced that the country does not recognize the results of the Russian State Duma elections, criticizing their fairness and legality. He emphasized that the elections were not free or fair, with opposition suppressed and independent voices silenced. The elections, held from September 18 to 20, included voting in occupied Ukrainian territories, which Lithuania views as a serious violation of international law. The ruling party, United Russia, secured 355 out of 450 seats, increasing its majority despite the exclusion of anti-war candidates and parties. Lithuania, along with Ukraine and Western nations, does not recognize these territories as part of Russia.
