Lituania face planuri de extindere a serviciului militar. Când vrea să reintroducă recrutarea generală
Lithuania plans to expand its military service and reintroduce general conscription by 2032 amid rising tensions with Russia. The decision was made by the National Security Council and requires parliamentary approval. Since 2015, Lithuania has partially reinstated military service, recruiting over 5,000 young men annually for basic training. This number will increase to 7,500 with the new conscription system. Young women will still have the option to participate in military training voluntarily. The transition costs are estimated at 120 million euros.
