Lituania a desfășurat sisteme de rachete NASAMS lângă Vilnius. Se așteaptă la atacuri ale Rusiei • Newsweek România
Lithuania has deployed NASAMS missile systems near Vilnius to enhance its defense against potential Russian attacks. This move follows recent drone incursions in NATO airspace. The Lithuanian Defense Chief emphasized the improved range, speed, and accuracy of NASAMS compared to the previous RBS 70 system. Lithuania currently operates two NASAMS batteries and plans to acquire a third by 2028. The country has allocated over 5% of its GDP for defense, supporting military modernization efforts, including additional NASAMS batteries and short-range air defense systems. Lithuania is also reconsidering its legal limits on NATO deterrence participation.
