Recent inspections on the Romanian coast led to fines totaling 558,700 lei and the suspension of 12 food units. Nearly 491 tons of food were withdrawn due to safety violations. The National Sanitary Veterinary and Food Safety Authority (ANSVSA) checked 277 establishments, issuing 52 fines and several orders to suspend or prohibit activities. Common violations included poor maintenance, improper food handling, and inadequate labeling. ANSVSA continues to monitor food safety throughout the summer season to protect public health.
